From Cascading Waters to Flowing Wonders: My Arinta Waterfall & Ikogosi Warm Spring Nature Experience
There are moments in life when you step away from the noise, the routine, and the expectations and find yourself surrounded by something so pure, so untouched, that speaks directly to your soul.
My trip to Ikogosi Ekiti and Ipole iloro Ekiti was one of those moments.
From the breathtaking heights of Arinta Waterfall to the mysterious beauty of Ikogosi Warm Springs, this journey was more than just sightseeing, it was an encounter with nature, courage, and divine presence.
The Beauty and Boldness of Arinta Waterfall
Standing at Arinta Waterfall, I was immediately captivated by the sound of cascading water and the lush greenery surrounding it. It felt like nature was alive breathing, speaking, and inviting me to experience something deeper.
But beyond the beauty, there was a challenge.
I started from the first level, taking in the view and enjoying the moment. But something in me wanted more. I wanted to explore further, to see beyond what was easily accessible. So, I began the hike.
From the first level to the second… then the third… and before I knew it, I had made it to the 4th stream.
Even more surprising? I was already on my way to the 5th stream.
I paused and thought to myself
“Did I really just do this?”
It wasn’t just a physical climb; it was a moment of boldness. A decision to push beyond comfort. A reminder that sometimes, we are stronger than we think.
The hike was not easy, but it was fun, refreshing, and incredibly fulfilling. Every step came with a mix of excitement and determination. And at the top, the reward wasn’t just the view, it was the realization that I dared.
Sometimes, the beauty of an experience isn’t just in reaching the destination, but in the courage it takes to keep going.
Ikogosi: Where Mystery Meets Wonder
If Arinta was about boldness, then Ikogosi was about awe.
At Ikogosi Warm Springs, I witnessed something I had only heard about a natural wonder where warm and cold water flow side by side, unchanged over the years.
And there I was, seeing it with my own eyes.
To my greatest surprise, the waters still retained their distinct temperatures one warm, one cold flowing together in harmony. Even more fascinating was the point where they met, forming a perfectly balanced warmth.
It felt unreal.
Science may explain it, but experiencing it in person feels like standing in the middle of a divine mystery. It’s a reminder that not everything in life has to be fully understood to be appreciated.
Some things are simply meant to be experienced.
Finding God in Nature
In both places, one truth became undeniable: the glory of God is evident in creation.
At Arinta, I felt it in the power and movement of the waterfall.
At Ikogosi, I saw it in the consistency and uniqueness of the springs.
The beauty, the mystery, the balance it all pointed to something greater.
There’s something about being in nature that quiets your mind and opens your heart. You begin to notice things differently. You feel more present. More connected.
In those moments, I didn’t just see nature…
I felt divinity.
Final Reflection
This trip taught me more than I expected.
It taught me to be bold to take steps even when I’m unsure.
It reminded me to appreciate the beauty around me.
And most importantly, it showed me that God’s presence can be felt in the simplest, most natural things.
From hiking to the 4th stream and daring the 5th, to witnessing waters that defy logic, this experience will stay with me for a long time.
Sometimes, you don’t just visit a place…
you experience something greater.
